These spacers are called Floating or 8mm (608) size. This piece goes inside the wheel, between 2 bearings. This ensures a flush fit to 8mm axles. Without a spacer, the wheels/bearings will feel loose, the bearings can break down and not perform as intended.

They will fit skates using 8mm Axles - Tour, some Reebok skates
